Welcome to my corner of the web. I’ve just moved in, and I hope to make this a place to think out loud about the things I find interesting.
I’m currently on a break from work, focusing my time on sharpening my ML skills by finally working through the part 1 of fast.ai course (external link) and Hands-On Machine Learning (external link) . I’m exploring how to use LLM tools to augment learning without “cognitive offloading” – delegating the actual thinking to the AI.
Some writing on learning that I keep coming back to:
- Understanding requires effortful engagement (external link) and How Might We Learn? (external link) by Andy Matuschak
- Don’t delegate understanding (external link) by Steph Ango
- How AI assistance impacts the formation of coding skills (external link) by Anthropic
Simon Willison (external link) ’s work is a big inspiration to me. I admire how clearly and consistently he shares his ideas, learning, and projects in public. Reading through his earliest posts (external link) inspired me to set up this site – I hope I can keep it going over time and build even a small fraction of what he’s created over the past 24 years.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’ll visit again.
Cheers,
Callistus
